Ford has introduced the Sports Edition of its popular hatchback, the Figo and the compact sedan, the Aspire at Rs 6.31 lakh and Rs 6.50 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.

The Sports Editions are the performance-oriented versions of the standard cars and are based on the Titanium variants.

The Ford Figo Sports edition as well as the Aspire Sports edition is offered with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines which generate 87bhp/113 Nm and 99bhp/215Nm of peak torque, respectively. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. 

From interior, the Sports edition of both the Figo and the Aspire get all-black premium quality upholstery. The cars get leather-wrapped steering wheel and use contrast-coloured seam.

The automaker claims that the cars have been fitted with controlling automatic climate control system which is capable of bringing down the cabin temperature of a vehicle parked in hot sun to less than 25 degrees in less than 15 minutes. 

Coming to safety, the Sports edition cars get dual front driver and passenger airbags, along with ABS and EBD as standard.
