Hyundai motors to launch the 2016 Elantra in India on August 23, 2016

Hyundai dealerships across the country have started accepting bookings for the all-new Elantra to be launched on 23rd August. Showrooms have set a booking amount of Rs 25,000 in Delhi and Rs 50,000 in Mumbai. The new car will replace the current selling Elantra and will take on the likes of the Skoda Octavia and the Toyota Corolla.

It will get all new upholstery and a touchscreen multimedia system. Hyundai is likely to offer Android Auto as well as navigation in the infotainment system.

New Elantra sports sleeker and lower headlamps, a large hexagonal chrome grille, DRLs and boomerang-shaped fog lamp cluster.

Engine options in the new Hyundai Elantra might include 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol that makes 147PS at 6,200rpm and generates 180Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The engine will be mated with a 6-speed manual or a next-generation 6-speed automatic transmission.
